Powtoon Animation Videos

Professional Interview

For this project, I began by interviewing a parent on their experience rating teens. I brainstormed questions to meet the needs of the video and recorded it using Camtasia. After the interview, I edited the video down into short segments keeping the essential pieces for animation.

Due to poor resolution, I was unable to utilize the video of the parents talking while showing their faces. As a workaround, I screenshotted their pictures for the training to put a face to the voice.

I was then able to work in Powtoon Animation to create a video that is engaging and meaningful for the learner.

Story Telling

Sometimes trainings need a little bit of extra content to add more meaning to what the learner is trying to digest. This is absolutely the case when trying to convey the need in the foster care system.

I began by taking voice recordings of case managers sharing first-hand accounts with youths that they had worked with. I edited the audio using Audacity and Camtasia making it as clear as possible for the video.

I then created the animated video using Powtoon Animation to convey the story that the case managers had given me. These styles of videos help the learner to put their newfound understandings into context.
